Football féminin : Les Îles Vierges Britanniques 0, Haïti 21

Publié le 2022-04-09 | lenouvelliste.com Grosse démonstration de force de la sélection féminine haïtienne de football à Road Town ce samedi 9 avril dans le cadre de la troisième journée du groupe E comptant pour les éliminatoires de la Coupe du Monde de la FIFA, Australie et Nouvelle-Zélande 2023. Impitoyables, les Grenadières se sont imposées (0-21), mi-temps (0-10), face aux les Îles Vierges Britanniques.

En présence de plusieurs Haïtiens qui résident aux Iles Vierges Britanniques, les Grenadières ont donné une déculottée à la sélection locale (21-0). Pour y arriver, plusieurs Grenadières se sont illustrées dans cette écrasante victoire. Roselord Borgella (4e, 21e, 22e et 45e) et Batcheba Louis (39e, 42e, 57e et 88e) ont chacune inscrit un quadruplé pour l’équipe haïtienne qui était en démonstration.

Les deux piliers de la sélection féminine haïtienne, qui n’ont pas joué tout le match, ont réussi chacune un doublé, à savoir Melchie Daëlle Dumornay (11e et 32e) et Nérilia Mondésir (34e et 51e).

Entrées en jeu, Roseline Eloissaint (62e, 73e et 79e) et Mikerline Saint-Félix (84e, 87e et 90e) se sont offertes un triplé pour alourdir le score. L’équipe haïtienne était en mode rouleau compresseur.

Pour compléter la victoire nette et sans bavure des Grenadières, Danielle Etienne (6e) et Kethna Louis (77e, sur penalty) ont inscrit chacune un but sans oublier le but contre son camp marqué par K. Lewis (8e).

Sans surprise, la sélection féminine haïtienne de football a fait voler en éclat la défense des Îles Vierges Britanniques, malmenée voire humiliée (21-0) au terme d’une rencontre à sens unique.

Avec 9 réalisations, Roselord Borgella, qui fait trembler les filets pour Haïti à chaque match joué, prend la tête du classement des buteuses. Elle est suivie de près par sa compatriote Batcheba Louis (6 buts). Dans ce petit jeu, Roseline Eloissaint en est à 4. Kethna Louis, bien qu’elle joue en défense centrale, est à 3 buts. Au même titre que Roselord, Kethna marque au moins un but à chaque match disputé.

A en croire les déclarations du sélectionneur national Nicolas Delépine, la délégation haïtienne doit laisser Road Town tôt ce dimanche matin à destination de la République dominicaine. Ce faisant, l’équipe haïtienne sera prête pour affronter Cuba pour le gain de l’unique billet donnant accès à la phase finale du championnat CONCACAF féminin qui se tiendra à Monterey, au Mexique du 4 au 18 juillet.

Avant d’affronter Cuba, ce mardi 12 avril à l’estadio Olympico Felix Sanchez en République dominicaine, la sélection féminine haïtienne, leader du groupe E avec 9 points, n’a toujours pas encaissé de buts et en a marqué  38 dans cette campagne de qualification à la Coupe du Monde de la FIFA, Australie et Nouvelle-Zélande 2023, aux Jeux olympiques Paris 2024 et à la Gold Cup 2024.
